Q. How to update the new version?

Ans. Download the file in the working directory of your software or download it on the desktop. The file downloaded will be in the name of Auto0607.zip. Unzip this file in the working directory of Auto. To UNZIP the file you must have the WIN zip installed on your computer.

Imp.: Please make sure that you have the backup of the data before updating the software.
 
   
 

Q. How should I take the backup of my data?  

Ans.: A backup facility is provided within the software. To let the software take the backup on its own, kindly do the following: 

  1. If you are a LAN user then make sure that the software is operational at one computer only.
  2. Now click at Master and Click at Exit.
  3. The software will stop for the moment and after sometime depending on the size of the database the software will close.

To check whether the software has taken the proper backup or check the following:

Automobile Management takes the backup on the basis of weekdays. E.g. if today is Monday then it will create a folder in the D drive of your computer in the name of Backup. In the backup folder it will create a folder in the name of Monday and copy all your date files in this folder.

 
     
 

Q. Where is my software installed? 

Ans. To know where the software is running from do the following, from the Main menu of your software click at About Auto 2003. A window will appear where it will display the location of the software on the title bar e.g. About Auto 2006 (VAT) Directory D:\...

 
       
  Q. How do I update my spares parts list for ?  
 

Ans. Download the new spares parts list. After completing the download unzip the SparesHHML.zip file. Copy the spares.mdb to the working directory of your software. Run your software, go to Utilities >> Repair/Update Database. Click on the option update database. It will take about 10-15 sec. and your database is updated.
